Complex ammines perchlorates

These substances have a variable composition depending upon the reaction conditions, chiefly the concentration of the reagents used. Salvadori [119] called attention to the interesting explosive properties of the chlorates and perchlorates of complex ammines of the type ... [Pg.230]

Copper (II) ammine Chlorides. Several complexes, of general formulaCuClj. xNH3 yHzO, are listed in Ref 2, Izzo (Ref 1, p 214) lists the following blue signal light compn contg one of the complexes K perchlorate 73 the complex 18 stearine 6 asphaltum 3%... [Pg.299]

Copper (II) ammine Explosive Complexes. Following complexes are listed in Vol 1 of this Encyclopedia Copper (II) ammine Azides, p A280 (See also Ref, p 149) Copper (ll) ammine Bro-mates p A281(See also Ref, p 387) Copper (II) ammine Chlorates, p A281(See also Ref, p 334) Copper (II) ammine lodates, p A281 (See also Ref, p 428 Copper (II) ammine Nitrates, pp A280 (See also item listed below) Copper (ll) ammine Perchlorates, p A28l(See also Ref, p 340)... [Pg.299]

Caution. Danger Complex ammines as perchlorate salts may explode. See p. 78. The wash liquids containing perchlorates and organic substances, such as C2//5O//, should not be heated. The solid perchlorates are dried at room temperature. [Pg.82]

Chromic Azide Complexes. See Chromium Azide Complexes in Vol 1, pA530-R and also Azidopentammine-chromium (III) Perchlorate, Chloropentamminechromium (III) Azide and Hexamminechromium Azide on pA277 under Ammines... [Pg.82]

Groups. Under this term are known compds of general formula, [M(NH3)n] (NOa)m, where M stands for a metal such as Cd, Cr, Co, Cu, Ni or Zn. These complexes are more or less explosive and several of them were listed as Ammines in Vol 1, pp A277 to A282 of this Encycl, together with ammines of azides, bromates, chrorates, iodates and perchlorates Several of these complexes were prepd and investigated at Picatinny Arsenal, as can be seen from the paper of W.R.Tomlinson, K.G.Ottoson L.F.Audrieth in JACS 71, 375 -76 (1946)... [Pg.244]

Chromium (ill) ammine Complexes, These include Tfiazido-triamminechromium(III), Aquopentamminechromiuni(III) Perchlorate, Azidopentamminechromium (III) Perchlorate, Chiocopentamminechromium (III) Azide, Hexamminechromium (III) Azide, Hexammine-chromium (III) Nitrate and Hexamminechromium (III) Perchromate described in Vol I, pA277... [Pg.83]

Methods for the preparation and purification of salts of the dimeric complex ions di-/i-hydroxo-bis[tetraamminechromium(III)] and di-p-hydroxo-bis [bis-(ethylenediamine)chromium(III)] and of the two corresponding cobalt(III) species are presented. The two ammine complex dimers are isolated as bromide and perchlorate salts. The two ethylenediamine complexes are isolated as dithionate, bromide, chloride, and perchlorate salts. All four dimers have been obtained by heating the corresponding cis-aquahydroxo complexes as the dithionate salts. [Pg.75]

JCS 124, 11, 767 (1923) CA 18, 362 (1924) iPrepn and some props of several cobalt ammines, such as hexammine-cobalt (ni) chlorite [Co(NH,),] (CIO ), HjO and chloropentamminecobalt (III) chlorite [Co(NH,)5 Cl] (ClOj)a are given. These complexes are less stable then the corresponding chlorates and perchlorates (See items Co20 and Co24 in table D) 11)W. Friederich P.Vervoorst, SS21, 4S>-52,... [Pg.283]

The color and solubilities of these chromium(III) ammines are very similar to those of the corresponding cobalt(III) complexes.5 The chlorides, bromides, nitrates, and perchlorates in the acidopentamminechromium(III) series are not very soluble in water, whereas the analogous aquopentamminechromium(III) salts are soluble. In aqueous solutions, these chromium(III) ammines are much more readily decomposed than the corresponding cobalt(III) ammines. Decomposition may be perceptible within a few minutes. The absorption spectra of aqueous solutions of some acidopentamminechromium(III) salts have been studied.6,7... [Pg.135]
