The compact fluorescent light (CFL) is replacing the standard light-bulb we use in our homes and workplaces. Compared to a standard lightbulb, the CFL has a longer life and nses less electricity. Within about 20 days of use, the fluorescent bnlb saves enongh money in electricity costs to pay for its higher initial cost. [Pg.140]
