The system response is texture measured as the pressure in milligrams required to puncture the patty in a standardized setup. The response was obtained by replicating trials. The complete 56 coefficients regression model is obtained by multiplying each member in a seven-coefficient model for the mixture composition. [Pg.545]

The percent increase in responding was calculated using a random coefficient regression model to fit the data. [Pg.196]

Another important question is how does the prediction model itself change with the resolution When few scales are added we have very smooth representations of the spectra and it is expected that e.g. the B-coefficient regression vectors will display the same degree of smoothness as the input data. This can be seen in Fig. 12 which shows the PLS B-coefficient regression vectors for the different resolution levels. This type of plot can be used to get... [Pg.382]

Figure 15.7 shows the permeability coefficient regression equations for skin from human (EquationT15.1-l), hairless mouse (EquationT15.1-2), hairless rat (Equation T15.1-3), rat (Equation T15.1-6), and shed snake (Equation T15.1-7) plotted as a function of log for relatively small molecules MW = 100) and larger molecules MW = 300). The regression equations for human, hairless mouse, and shed snake skin are most relevant because these databases are the largest and most diverse. Permeability coefficients in all species increase linearly with log... [Pg.320]

In a multilevel modeling we want to investigate the relations between variables with different domains. The multilevel characteristics of the data also have implications for statistical modeling and analysis. In the paper we analyzed these statistical aspects of the problem. Random coefficient regression models are more appropriate than fixed coefficient models for multilevel analysis in our problem consideration. [Pg.360]
