The system response is texture measured as the pressure in milligrams required to puncture the patty in a standardized setup. The response was obtained by replicating trials. The complete 56 coefficients regression model is obtained by multiplying each member in a seven-coefficient model for the mixture composition.

In a multilevel modeling we want to investigate the relations between variables with different domains. The multilevel characteristics of the data also have implications for statistical modeling and analysis. In the paper we analyzed these statistical aspects of the problem. Random coefficient regression models are more appropriate than fixed coefficient models for multilevel analysis in our problem consideration.
