CO-induced restructuring

Supported bimetallic Pt-Au catalysts with 1 1 stoichiometry formed via displacement of Cu° within G50H DMNs can also be activated under similar conditions. The majority of these metal nanoparticles are bimetallic in nature and smaller than 3 nm after activation. Although there is some evidence of CO-induced restructuring of the active phase, this material has been shown to exhibit high catalytic activity for CO oxidation near room temperature.
