Cluster class

There is a basic difference between most of the better known methods of cluster analysis and the FCV family of clustering algorithms. That difference concerns the traditional requirement that every measurement vector e eventua11 y assigned to one, and 2iLiy one, o f h cluster classes. In FCV clustering. [Pg.131]

Most of the structures of metallacarbaborane clusters derive from triangular-faced polyhedra. Figure 1 shows regular deltahedra up to the icosahedron with the corresponding lUPAC vertex numbering schemes. General cluster classes are closo (a complete deltahedral structure), nido (a deltahedron with one vertex vacant), arachno (a deltahedron with two... [Pg.444]

In what follows we shall focus on some unique properties and features of finite, large ultracold systems, which can be traced to (a) quantum effects of zero-point energy and kinetic energy for the light constituent clusters (classes 1, 2, and 3) and (b) permutation symmetry effects in all systems (classes 1-6) considered herein. [Pg.251]

There are two large classes of molecular clusters in which the ligands are all of the same nature The halide cluster class and the carbonyl or, in general, organometallic cluster class. According to the formal oxidation numbers acquired by metal atoms in these two classes of clusters, they are often classified as high and low-valence clusters respectively. [Pg.55]

In the high-valence cluster species, metal atoms forming the metal network appear to have positive intermediate oxidation states. However, metal oxidation states in cluster are always lower than those characteristic for the same metals in classical mononuclear complexes. The ligands associated to this class of cluster are normally good cr-donors that according to the classification of Pearson would have intermediate hardness. Among these compounds the most frequent are the halides, specially chlorides and bromides. An example of this cluster class is the molybdenum species [Mo6Xs] shown in Fig. 2.1c. [Pg.55]

Add Bundle function node from the functions palette by selecting Programming Cluster, Class Variant Bimdle. Connect the input terminals of the Bundle function node to the input of the DAQ Assistant2 and output of the DAQ Assistant as shown in the figure. Wire the output of the cluster to the XY graph. [Pg.272]
