Cleaners for Specific Foulants and Scale

For stubborn foulants and scale, there are some preferred cleaning solutions that may improve the efficacy of cleaning. Some of these generic solutions are listed in Table 13.3. Check with specific membrane manufacturer for limits on pH and temperature.
