Cirsimaritin antispasmodic activity

From B. conferta, an endemic species of the Nahua of the Mexican state of Veracruz where it is used in the treatment of a variety of gastrointestinal illnesses, several flavonoids, such as pectolinaringenin, Fig. (36) and cirsimaritin, Fig. (40) were isolated [96], These flavonoids play an important role in the antispasmodic activity of this indigenous drug.
