Cigarette self-lighting

CIGARETTE, self-lighting 1912 22 METHYL CHLORIDE and METHYLENE... [Pg.761]

Self-Igniting Cigarette is a lighter based on the idea incorporated in the device loco-foco or "self-lighting segars" invented in 1835-Since then many improvements of this device were proposed, of which a recent one is that of F. DeCapitani, USP 3262456(1966) CA 65, 13452(1966). These devices are briefly discussed in Ref 57, pp 71-2... [Pg.762]

The ignition temperature is the minimum temperature required to initiate or cause self-sustained combustion. Table 2 also Hsts ignition temperatures of several common ethers. Attention is directed to the particularly low ignition temperature of ethyl ether, especially with reference to some common ignition sources such as a lighted cigarette (732°C) or a pressurized (0.7 MPa or 100 psi) steam line (180°C). [Pg.427]
