Chromi bromide

Salts such as hydroxo - triaquo - diammino - chromic sulphate, Cr(NH3)2(I-I20)s.OH]S04.H20, and the corresponding dipyridino-salt, Cr py 2(H20)3(0H)]S04, have been prepared, the former from dihydroxo-diaquo-diammino-chromie bromide by treatment with sulphuric acid,3... [Pg.93]

Cr eu2(SCN)a]SCN, is formed by dissolving bromo-bisaquo-diethylene-diamino-chromie bromide in warm water and adding to the solution potassium thiocyanate. The mixture is filtered, and from the filtrate, on standing for some time, small brick-red crystals separate. These are purified by recrystallisation from warm water. [Pg.107]

The bromide, [Cr2(NH3)10(OH)]Br5.H2O, may be obtained from the chloride by treating with hydrobromic acid or by heating erythro-chromie bromide to 100° C. The corresponding base of the series is formed in solution when the chloride is treated with moist silver oxide. A blue alkaline liquid is obtained, which soon becomes red and passes into the erythro-hydroxide. [Pg.115]

Chromic bromide reacts in the same way, yielding the dibromo-tetraquo-chromie salt, [Co(NH3)2(N02) J[C r(H2d).1Br2].2H20, and hex-ammino-cobaltic chloride forms the double salt, [Co(NH,)2(XOs)4]8 [Co(XH8)8]., ... [Pg.164]
