In a contained casualty setting, children with inhalation anthrax can receive intravenous antibiotics in a mass casualty setting and as postexposure prophylaxis, children can receive oral antibiotics (Inglesby et al., 2002). Doxycycline is dispensed in a tablet that children may not be able to swallow however, it can be ground and mixed with food or drink to make it palatable. Palatable foods and drinks for mixing doxycycline include chocolate pudding, chocolate milk, low-fat chocolate milk, simple syrup with sour apple flavor. 

Slice a ripe banana into either instant or regular (cooked) nonfat chocolate pudding mix. Conversely, mix 2 heaping tablespoons of cocoa powder into nonfat pudding mix you can also slice in a banana. 

Comment This formula is very effective for both amebic and bacillary dysentery. Travellers to countries where dysentery is prevalent should carry a supply with them. If amebic dysentery is left untreated, the amoebae may invade the liver, resulting in amoebic hepatitis. The stools associated with amebic dysentery look like chocolate pudding.
