Chloroplatinic acid H2PtCl

A series of Pt/AljOs catalysts containing 0.5-6.5wt% R were prepared by wet impregnation. Briefly, the required amount of chloroplatinic acid, H2PtCl .6H20, (Aldrich), was dissolved in excess ethanol and added to pre-calcined AI2O3 (supplied by Rhone Poulenc, particle size 212-500nm). The prepared mixture was stirred constant for 5 hours. The excess liquid was removed under vacuum at 80 C in a rotary evaporator. The resulting soHd was dried in air at 100°C for 12 hours and calcined at 450°C for 4 hours [7]. [Pg.1138]
