Pectins were extracted from isolated cell walls of 5-week-old wheat plants using different methods. Both hydroxyethylethylene diaminetriacetic acid and hydroxyethyliminodiacetic acid produced wormholes in limestone cores when tested at 150° F. However, the efficiency and capacities differ.
