Checklist for preparing a table

Every table should have the following components  

A title, plus a reference number and date where necessary. 

Headings for each column and row, with appropriate units of measurement. 

Data values, quoted to the nearest significant figure and with j statistical parameters, according to your requirements. 

Rulings to emphasize groupings and distinguish items from I each other.
