Cell rupture, measuring degree

As membrane permeabilization affects the turgor of the cell, measurements of the latter (Tomos, 2000) and of texture characteristics such as stress deformation, as well as relaxation tests of complex tissues, may be employed in order to evaluate the degree of cell rupture and tissue damage (Lebovka et al, 2004).
