In 2012, the fatal accident rate per 100 million hours worked for onshore and offshore was as follows [2]  [Pg.138]

It is to be noted that over a 10-year period (i.e., up to 2012), there was a large variation between the onshore and offshore fafal accident rate [2]. Furthermore, neither was consistently lower. Generally, this was attributable to single transportation or fire and explosion incidenfs resulting in a high number of fatalities. [Pg.139]
