Catecholborane review

Earlier work in the catalyzed addition of catecholborane to alkenes has been thoroughly reviewed [91,92]. The most significant application of catalytic hydroboration has been the possibility of enantioselective hydroboration by the use of catalysts containing chiral ligands [93], in contrast to the traditional stoichiometric enantioselective hydroboration which requires one or two equivalents of a chiral auxiliary attached to boron [94].
