Hydrogasification catalytic

In ensuing catalytic stages, usually termed hydrogasrfication and methanation (not to be confused with the noncatalytic, direct hydrogasification processes... 

Hydrogenation Hydroformylation 100-300 edible oils hydrogasification hydrocracking desulfurization catalytic cracking naphtha hydroforming coal liquefaction fatty alcohols 1-6-hexanediol 1-4-butanediol hexamethylenedi amine C4 to Cl5 products... 

Subsequent investigations, including IINS, were carried out to characterize the various resistances of such cokes to controlled after-treatments, such as oxidation or hydrogasification processes, as a basis for determining the feasibility of catalyst reactivation. The presence of metallic contaminants (iron, cobalt, and nickel) was of relevance, not only to the deposition of cokes and the catalytic transformation of the carbon structure, but also to the dynamic processes in the controlled decomposition of the material in catalyst regeneration procedures 50). 

Mass transfer effects were absent in this methanation study of typical feed gases produced from coal hydrogasification. Carbon was not deposited in any of the catalytic runs. 

The production of methane from coal does not depend entirely on catalytic methanation, and, in fact, a number of gasification processes use hydrogasification, that is, the direct addition of H2 to coal under pressure to form methane (Anthony and Howard, 1976) ...
