Casting optimum

Handling Temperatures. Optimum temperature for pumping is in 37—48°C range. Piping should be stainless steel, aluminum, or galvanized iron. Valves and pumps should be bronze, cast-iron with bronze trim, or stainless steel. A pump of 3.15-L/s (50-gal/min) capacity unloads a tank car of warm glycerol in ca 4 h. [Pg.349]

Titanium alloys should be melted and cast under carefully controlled and optimum conditions. The higher elongation values of titanium castings reflect the superior ductihty of titanium. Ductile clasp arms of titanium castings can withstand relatively large bending adjustments without fracture. [Pg.486]

Samples of /the polymers for physical evaluation were prepared by film casting from toluene solution at 90°C. and allowing the crystallization to occur by cooling the melt. It was observed that phase separation occurred in the melt in the case of the H2-BIB but not for the H2-BBB. These materials could also be compression molded at 1<40°C., but optimum results appeared to be obtained with the film-cast samples. [Pg.103]
