Clonazepam carbamazepine

Drugs that may affect valproic acid include carbamazepine, charcoal, chlorpromazine, cholestyramine, cimetidine, erythromycin, ethosuximide, felbamate, lamotrigine, phenytoin, rifampin, and salicylates. Drugs that may be affected by valproic acid include carbamazepine, clonazepam, diazepam, ethosuximide, lamotrigine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, tolbutamide, tricyclic antidepressants, warfarin, and zidovudine. [Pg.1245]

Carbamazepine, clonazepam, and neuroleptics are possible alternatives to lithium. [Pg.200]

Treatment of palatal myoclonus is often unsuccessful, but phenytoin, carbamazepine, clonazepam, trihexyphenidyl, and baclofen have been effective in some patients. Clonazepam is effective in over half of patients with propriospinal myoclonus, but other anticonvulsants are usually not helpful. Segmental spinal myoclonus is often resistant to drug treatment, but diazepam, carbamazepine, tetrabenazine and, particularly, clonazepam are sometimes effective. [Pg.475]

C. Clinical Use Lithium carbonate is used in the treatment of bipolar affective disorder (manic-depressive disease). Maintenance therapy with lithium decreases manic behavior and reduces both the frequency and the magnitude of mood swings. Drug therapy with neuroleptics or benzodiazepines may also be required at the initiation of lithium treatment. Antidepressant drugs may be required adjunctively during maintenance. Alternative drugs of value in bipolar affective disorder include carbamazepine, clonazepam, gabapentin, and valproic acid. [Pg.264]

Piracetam does not appear to alter the levels of sodium valproate or primidone. No interaction has been found between piracetam and carbamazepine, clonazepam, phenobarbital, or phenytoin. [Pg.570]

Progabide may raise phenytoin levels and alter the serum levels of carbamazepine, clonazepam, phenobarbitaL The effect of these antiepileptics on progabide levels appears to be only moderate or small. [Pg.571]
