Caldum carbide

Caldum carbide in the molten state is drawn off from one or more (up to 6) tap holes in the base of the furnace. It is collected in crucibles, where it cools for one to two hours and is then emptied for subsequent crushing and screbcing (Fig. 5.2). [Pg.304]
