Calcium carbonate-ethanol medium

Calcium Carbonate-Ethanol Medium (Frateur s Medium)... [Pg.65]

For beer spoilage bacteria, Frateur s differential medium containing yeast extract, ethanol and calcium carbonate has been reported in the hterature, Acetobacter... [Pg.180]

Bromotetradecane (74 g, 267.1 mmol, 1 eq) and tetradecylamine (57 g, 267.1 mmol, 1 eq) were dissolved in absolute ethanol (400 ml). Sodium carbonate (70.8 g, 667 mmol, 2.5 eq) was added and the mixture was refluxed overnight. The reaction medium was then evaporated, taken up in dichloromethane (1,500 ml) and washed successively with water (3x200 ml) and NaClsat (1 x400 ml). The organic phase was dried over calcium chloride and concentrated. [Pg.409]
