Calcium-calcineurin-NFAT signaling

The T-cell specific transcription factor, NFAT is held in the cytosol through the presence of an inhibitory phosphorylated residue. Upon TCR-mediated calcium release, the calcineurin dephosphorylates NFAT, translocates to the nucleus.
