Cage clamp technique

In the examples given above, a screw maintains the contact pressure between conductor and clamp via a moveable metallic part. A more recent development of terminal blocks shows a clamping spring to maintain an adequate permanent contact pressure between conductor and clamp ( cage clamp technique ). Examples for multiple contact terminals in this technique are given in Figs 6.47 and 6.48.
