Byproduct Gypsum from Flue Gas Desulfurization

Stricter environmental protection legislation has led to the equipping of power stations with desulfurization units especially in Japan and Western Europe, including the Federal Republic of Germany, and also in the USA. 

Increasingly strict environmental protection legislation has led to incretised use of desulfurization plants 

REA-gypsum from tlue gas desulfurization by reaction of SOs with C aCO r or Ca(OH)i-suspensions and subsequent oxidation to CaS04 2H .() 

So-called dry processes are also utilized here and there, in which finely ground lime dust (CaC03, Ca(OH)2 or CaO) are jetted directly into the hot flue gas or are mixed with the fuel in the burner. Separation is performed with a fabric filter.
