Butcher blocks

Finally, you can build a portable darkroom on a rolling cart. Substantial carts can be purchased that are designed as kitchen islands or butcher blocks on wheels. Chemicals, paper, etc. can be stored on the shelves, dodging tools and the like in the drawers, and the enlarger used and stored on top. The whole thing can be wheeled into the kitchen after the dishes are washed and then wheeled into a closet or the garage for storage. 

Give yourself plenty of space to draw your Process Map, using a long stretch of wall. Many facilitators line the wall with a 36-inch roll of butcher block paper or brown paper. 

Let the butcher block sit for 5 minutes or so between applications, until the block cannot absorb any more oil. (It should take 5 or 6 coats.) Wipe up any excess oil with a rag. 

One unexpected application arises from the observation that the presence of more than 10% block copolyma- in natural rubber prevents bacterial growth on the polymer surface thus, incorporation of the copolymer in butchers chopping blocks can lead to more hygienic conditions in meat handling.

In experiments with intact rat adipose tissue in vitro Butcher et al. (1964, 1965) found that addition of ADR to the incubation medium (10pg/ml = 5X 10 M) was followed by a rapid increase of the concentration of intracellular 3, 5 -AMP. In the fifdi minute, the maximum had already been reached and the concentration began to decline again after 20 minutes the lipolytic reaction nevertheless proceeded at a high rate. DCI in concentrations which abolished the effect of adrenaline on the lipolysis also blocked the increase of 3, 5 -AMP in the adipose cells.
