The relative stabilities of singlet and triplet electronic states of three different oxyallyl systems and the closed form of cyclopropanone, bicyclo[1.1.0]butanone, and bicyclo[2.1.0]pentan-5-one have been smdied by density-functional calculations (B3LYP/6-31G ). The results of these calculations are in good agreement with predictions of calculations based on multi-determinant methods. 

The crystallization of the acetone-insoluble polystyrene is completed by boiling for 2 h in freshly distilled butanone it is then allowed to stand overnight at room temperature and finally filtered and dried in vacuum at 60 °C. Yield of crystalline isotactic polystyrene 95-100% of the acetone insoluble portion.The crystalline melting range and the density see Sect. 2.3.4.1) are determined, as is also the limiting viscosity number in toluene at 20 °C. 

The shift values obtained in CDCb are at approximately 0.1 p.p.m. lower field. The large upfield shift of this proton from simple alkenes is, of course, the result of lone pair electron delocalization into the tt-system, resulting in an increase in electron density at the 3-carbon. The ease with which this delocalization can occur crudely correlates with the kinetic reactivity of the various enamines where the most reactive are generally the pyrrolidine enamines. A similar analysis of the proton spectra for enamines derived from 2-butanone and a variety of amines has also been made. Again, the pyrrolidine enamine absorption occurs upfield from both the piperidine and morpholine enamines. The vinylic...
