Cynthia J. Burrows, Distinguished Professor of Chemistry at the University of Utah, holds a BA from the University of Colorado and a PhD from Cornell University and was a postdoctoral fellow with Nobel Laureate J. M. Lehn in Strasbourg, France. She was a faculty member at State University of New York at Stony Brook prior to moving to Utah in 1995. Her research interests are in bio-organic chemistry with a focus on DNA and RNA. She and her physical chemist husband, Scott Anderson, have three children (triplets) of whom Laurel is the youngest, by a minute. [Pg.165]
