Building Awareness of the Relationship

A special plaque should be designed to give to the selected (preferred) supplier. Remember, this plaque will probably end up on the wall in the supplier s lobby so it should look as nice as possible. 

A presentation should be set up where upper management from both companies present and receive the plaque. Pictures should be taken and published in both companies newsletters, local newspapers, and trade journals. This helps to communicate to both organizations what is going ore 

This may be viewed by some top managers as time-consuming, wasting good money, and not beneficial, but the goodwill and support that this will show can help the organization build a better relationship with the supplier. This is a simple way to show the support of top management.
