Buffer strips, water systems

The apparatus is covered for two main reasons to prevent the evaporation of water by the heat generated, and as a safety precaution. With 3 to 8 milliamperes/strip and with several strips in the tank, this is a potentially hazardous situation. All commercial systems are arranged so that you cannot make contact with the buffer or strip when the power is on. The cover has a multiplepronged plug that will connect only to the power supply when the cover is on. [Pg.327]
