Breccia complex

Breccia complex The main representative of this type is Olympic Dam deposit in South Australia. Deposits in Zambia, Zaire, and Aillik group in Labrador, Canada, may also belong to this group. [Pg.73]

Breathing zone measurements, 14 214, 217 Breccia complex uranium deposits, 17 520 Breeding gain (BG), 17 586 Breeding programs, to enhance allelopathy, 13 353... [Pg.117]

The Brunswick Subduction Complex (BSC) is best know as the host sequence to world class, syngenetic volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits of the Bathurst Mining Camp (BMC) hosting deposits such as the giant Brunswick No. 12 VMS deposit (>300 Mt of massive sulfides). Less well known are the syntectonic, precious-metal breccia and (or) vein deposits/occurrences in the BSC. The shear zone-hosted Middle River gold deposit (MRG) is the most significant of these and has returned assays of up to 7.44 g/t Au over 6.5 m (DDH MR-05-06). [Pg.209]

The carbon chemistry of the regolith has been established as a significant indicator of exposure and reworking. In conjunction with other parameters indicative of exposure of the fines and breccias on the lunar surface, it should contribute to an understanding of the complex history of the regolith. [Pg.108]

The Cl chondrites represent one of the most curious paradoxes of cosmochemistry. Despite their unfractionated compositions, the Cl chondrites are the most altered of all chondrites, with water contents of —19.5 wt.% (Nagy et al., 1963). Anhydrous phases (olivines and pyroxenes) represent less than 1 vol.% of these meteorites (Leshin et al., 1997). Cl chondrites are complex meteorites that consist of a dark, fine-grained matrix comprised of phyllosilicates with magnetite, sulfides, carbonates, and sulfates embedded within it (e.g., DuFresne and Anders, 1962 Nagy, 1966). They have experienced extensive breccia-tion on their asteroidal parent bodies that caused... [Pg.249]

Feroci, Fini, Badiello, and Breccia [97FER/FIN] studied the complex formation between and SeO by classical polarography in 0.15 M NaN03. They found no evidence for an interaction, see Appendix A. The review estimates from an assumed accuracy of the polarographic measurement of 2 mV, the equilibrium constant of the reaction ... [Pg.225]

An example of veins with simple mineralogy is the Schwartz-walder mine, 25 km west of Denver, Colorado. Host rocks for this deposit are metasediments of the late Precambrian Idaho Springs Formation—a complex of sandstone, shale, carbonates and mafic intrusives." Large breccia-reef fault zones formed during late Precambrian cataclastic deformation were reactivated about 50-70 m.y. ago. Structures hosting the uranium are subsidiary to the major structures (Fig. 5). [Pg.132]
