Brdidka filtrate reaction

Gastric juice was examined (237) by the Brdidka filtrate reaction, and a polarographically active substance was found only in gastric mucus but not in the proper gastric juice. For examination, the mucus was separated from the juice by centrifugation, dried in a desiccator, and weighed in 20-mg portions to obtain standard conditions. The curves were, however, not always typical the author explmned the deformation by alterations of the mucus due to the drying process, and did not recommend his procedure. [Pg.523]

Uterine cervical secret was examined by the Brdidka filtrate reaction in the course of the menstrual cycle it exhibits regular fluctuation with a minimum at the culmination of the proliferation phase, and a maximum during the secreting phase. This examination was influenced by the administration of hormonal preparations a decrease was observed after an estrogen (diethylstilbestrol), and an increase after a gestagen (ethisterone) (243). [Pg.525]

Apart from the discussed agents and influences, some of which do not possess purely denaturing activities, enzymatic processes were also used in clinical applications of the Brdidka non-filtrate reaction. Thus, denatur-... [Pg.465]

In principle the protein index expresses a relationship between the Brdidka denaturation reaction in Co solution and the Brdiika filtrate reaction in Co " solution. The authors of this index, Muller and Davis, recommend the following procedure ... [Pg.540]
