Bovine serum albumin bioconjugates

Finally, a model protein bioconjugate 52 was prepared with the reactive fluorophore 50 and bovine serum albumin (BSA). The conjugate was identified spectrophotometrically and its steady state fluorescence emission spectra... [Pg.135]

The use of this strategy has rarely been encountered as a conjugation technique in macromolecular chemistry. Nevertheless, in a very nice example Maynard and colleagues prepared a variety of aminooxy functional polymers via ATRP and conjugated them to N-leuvinyl lysine modified bovine serum albumin (BSA) (Heredia et al., 2007). The reaction was completed in only 30 min, producing the well-defined bioconjugate (Scheme 2.7). [Pg.46]
