Bottlenecks of the Industrial Process to Integrate Solar Heat Supply

2 Bottlenecks of the Industrial Process to Integrate Solar Heat Supply [Pg.306]

The impact of the industrial processes for solar heat integration is an important aspect for the solar process heat system design. This impact is even more relevant for process-level integration, as here the solar heat supply directly interacts with the industrial process. However, obviously, there is also an influence of the industrial process to the overall thermal energy supply line and therefore relevant for supply line integration. [Pg.306]

Basically we can define the following key bottlenecks of industrial processes to integrate solar heat  [Pg.306]

As mentioned earlier, these bottlenecks are only partly applicable when we consider supply-level integration naturally process temperatures will have an impact on the supply line temperatures and return flow temperatures will as well be influenced by the process design however, this is most true for water-based distribution systems and less for steam systems. High-energy peaks and varying loads will pose no challenge for supply [Pg.307]
