Bond angles, broad range

Sihcon NMR spectra of MCM-41 closely resemble those of amorphous silica suggesting a broad range of Si-O-Si (T-O-T) bond angles, imlike that of classical crystalline zeolites [7, 30] and contain a relatively high concentration of silanols. This silanol concentration appears to be highest for those structmes that demonstrate the largest unit cell contraction upon removal of the template by calcination. [Pg.101]
