According to Italian sources, it was first prepd and patented by the Bombrini-Parodi-Delfino Co of Italy under the name Metriolo . [Pg.138]

They were developed by BPD (Bombrini-Parodi-Delfino SA, Colloferro-Roma). They melt at 85—88°, have the same power as TNT and are fairly insensitive to shock. PA mixts were proposed for cast-loading shells, but were seldom used because PA is more expensive then TNT.
