AgGai6Ge3o (A = Sr or Eu) I Pyrolytic BN crucibles, sealed in fused silica ampoules under Ar Resistive furnace 3 days at 1,223 K followed by 4 days at 973 K melts congruently at 1,047 K [36]... 

CeNi2Gc2 and CeCu2Si2 have also been crystallised from stoichiometric melts in BN crucibles in a Bridgman furnace slowly cooled at 8°h with a temperature gradient of 50°C maintained down the crucible (Kletowski 1983). 

Because of the small space available between the sample container (BN crucible) and the radiofrequency and gradients coils, thermal shielding was insured by several ceramic barriers, and additional cooling was performed with nitrogen stream at room temperature.
