Bis tetraethylammonium tetrabromoferrate II

Bis(tetraethylammonium) tetrabromoferrate(II). This compound is prepared in the same manner which is used for the preceding compound using 1.27 g. of FeBr2 2H20 (0.005 mol) in 5 ml. of absolute ethanol and 2.10 g. of 

Tetrahalocobaltate(II) salts are prepared in a manner similar to that used for the manganese compounds. The chloro and bromo derivatives are recrystallized from absolute ethanol, the solutions being evaporated to obtain the crystals.
