Biostatic coating

Production of inherently biostatic coated surfaces on silicon polymers with pendant quaternary ammonium amine. 

More specific additives aimed at improving the wet strength, - for clcctroconduc-tivc coatings, biostatic agents, dyes, etc., are based on different compounds. 

DCOIT is a broad spectrum biostat. Its very low water-solubility is in favour of the applications which are preferably recommended a.i. in coatings, especially antifouling coatings and in wood preservatives.
