Biomimetics pool research

Pool research may help to analyse promising areas of biology for their suitability for biomimetic developments, as well as to define more precisely the field of study concerning applicability. Extensive tests on the basis of simplified models help to isolate the active principles of natural examples. In this early step of biomimetic research, the results can already be compared with those of existing technical solutions. At this point, the potential for a successful transfer to technology becomes evident.
