Palfree and Elliott (1982) used nitrocellulose discs to bind detergent- 

Prepare the nitrocellulose sheet by drawing a rectangular grid (3x3 mm) with a pencil, wash with distilled water for 5 min and dry at room temperature. 

Place small drops (0.1-0.5 /tl) of the sample containing O.l-l.O mg protein per ml. For less complex mixtures, the concentration may be reduced accordingly. 

Dry the filter thoroughly the membrane may then be stored for several weeks.
