Bimetallic cluster assembly

Similarly, the introduction of phosphate or organophosphonate components, RP032-(f = OH, alkyl, aryl), favors the assembly of molybdophosphate clusters of the general type MojOidOsPR 4, which may serve as a structural building blocks in the construction of complex bimetallic phosphate oxides incorporating organic components. 

Metal-metal bonds involving platinum(ll) or palladium(ll) as a Lewis base have been known for several decades and are involved in a large variety of polymetallic assemblies, ranging from simple bimetallic compounds to high-nuclearity clusters... 

The second control rod system foreseen in the MARS reactor is a passive type and causes control rods insertion into the core when the core coolant temperature reaches a selected set value. The operation of this system (called ATSS, Figure IV-6) is based on the differential thermal expansion of a bimetallic sensor located inside the fuel assembly the differential displacement, due to coolant temperature increase, causes the release of a traditional-type control rod cluster.
