Biases of data use

These biases (Table 7-2) guide and distort the way we process or analyze data. They may compound the errors created in our selection of data. 

Explaining others behaviors more in terms of their personalities than their situations, but doing the opposite when explaining ur behaviors. 

Taking action before you have a sufficient understanding of the situation. 

Interpreting data and analyzing the situation from the perspective of your own profession while neglecting or discounting other perspectives. 

Disconnecting emotionally from another person in order to help him or her—which has both adaptive and maladaptive applicaticns. In Its maladaptive form, this bias becomes dehumanization.
