Bethanechol adverse effects

These autonomic adverse effects are usually mild and typically become less bothersome after the first few weeks of treatment. In any event, they can be controlled by adjusting the drug dosage. Bethanechol (urecholine) at doses of 25 to 50 mg given three to four times a day can reverse the urinary retention. [Pg.146]
