Basic and process flow diagram

Flow diagrams belong to the documents of central importance for a process plant They are drawn up in three detail stages  

The basic flow diagram shows the main steps of a process. For clarity reasons, merely the main steps, plant lines and complete offsites are depicted as rectangles with plain text identification. The main mass flows are shown as simple lines with flow direction arrows (see Fig. 2.3).
