Bacterial antizyme

Keywords 22-kDa protein P22 Bacterial antizyme Cadaverine Lysine/ ornithine decarboxylase Ribosomal protein LIO Selenomonas ruminantium... [Pg.101]

Further understanding of cadaverine physiology in S. ruminantium will expand our knowledge in this field. The major remaining challenges include isolation and characterization of the ATP-dependent protease(s) implicated in the bacterial antizyme-mediated proteolysis of LDC/ODC. This step will enable the complete in vitro reconstitution of the bacterial antizyme-mediated proteolytic system, or in other words, the bacterial proteasome, and lead to further understanding of the molecular mechanism of this system. [Pg.108]
