Baccharis glutinosa

Baccharis glutinosa Axixtlacotl was used as a diuretic, against fevers, as a diaphoretic, and to remove blotches from the face. Tea made from the leaves is taken to lose weight and as a contraceptive. The tea is also used to stop blood loss after giving birth. The leaves, heated over coals, are placed on the head as a remedy for headache or on a sore area of the body. [Pg.284]
