Azacrown ethers and porphyrinogens

A series of publications by Navarro and co-workers are devoted to crown ethers containing pyrazole subunits 84CL425,85JCR(S)312 (see Section 3.01.13.1). 

Another kind of crown ether is represented by compound (27) (see Section 3.01.3.3.1) where the two pyrazole derivatives (in this case, 1//-indazoles) are directly linked 87T4663 . 

7 Alkyl halides and related compounds compounds without a free AH group 

Quaternization of 1,2-bispyrazolylethane (99) with methyl fluorosulfonate affords a mixture of mono and diquaternary salts 92BSB29 . A heterosubstituted cyclooctane (109) has also been obtained, the chair conformation of the eight-membered ring established by x-ray crystallography 91AX(C)2583 and its behavior in FAB-MS described 91BSB459 . 

Mannich reaction of A, A -bis(methoxymethyl)diaza-18-crown-6 with 4-chloro-2-(l/f-pyrazol-3-yl)phenol gave the N-linked bis(3-(5-chloro-2-hydroxy)pyrazol-l-ylmethyl)-substituted diazacrown ether, which interacted with various metal ions and was evaluated by calorimetric titration 1999JOC8855 . Intramolecular nitrilimine cycloadditions were exploited in the preparation of a number of azacrown ethers having a medium or large ring annulated to pyrazole units 1997T3005 .
