A third way of improving the law was attempted by Bjerrum, who introduced interactions between the ions in the form of associated species between ions that are sufficiently close. We can also introduce terms linked to the shapes of the ions by introducing parameters resulting from the associations between the anions and cations present in the solution. Using this technique, Guggenheim was able to develop a law with multiple parameters, which can be deduced from the experimental behaviors of pure salts. 

In erythrocytes and most other cells, the major structural link of plasma membranes to the cytoskeleton is mediated by interactions between ankyrin and various integral membrane proteins, including Cf/HCOj antiporters, sodium ion pumps and voltage-dependent sodium ion channels. Ankyrin also binds to the =100 nm, rod-shaped, antiparallel a(3 heterodimers of spectrin and thus secures the cytoskeleton to the plasma membrane. Spectrin dimers self-associate to form tetramers and further to form a polygonal network parallel to the plasma membrane (Fig. 2-9D). Neurons contain both spectrin I, also termed erythroid spectrin, and spectrin II, also termed fodrin. Spectrin II is found throughout neurons, including axons, and binds to microtubules, whereas spectrin I occurs only in the soma and dendrites. 

You should end up with a model showing the types of main interest. They should have static associations and attributes, and they should have action links showing how they interact. The model consists of diagrams, invariants, and a dictionary (see Chapter 5, Effective Documentation). You should be able to describe any significant business event or activity entirely in terms of the model.

(4.68) the terms associated with the Legendre polynomials Pk(cos ab) represent that part of the angular correlation which is independent of the light beam, while the terms associated with the bipolar harmonics are due to the multipole expansion of the interactions of the electrons with the electric field vector. The link between geometrical angular functions and dynamical parameters is made by the summation indices ku k2 and k. These quantities are related to the orbital angular momenta of the two individual emitted electrons, and they are subject to the following conditions ... 

It is to be stressed that a bond path is not to be understood as representing a ond . The presence of a bond path linking a pair of nuclei implies that the corresponding atoms are bonded to one another. As demonstrated later, the interaction can be characterized and classified in terms of the properties of the charge density at its associated (3, — 1) critical point. The complete description of the interaction, however, requires the evaluation of operators over the associated interatomic surface. These are the topics of later discussions At this point we continue with the identification of the elements of molecular structure with the topological properties of the remaining stable critical points, (3, + 1) and (3, + 3) critical points.
