The analytical rubric has more irrformation than holistic rubric. The holistic rubric combines different kinds of traits into a single category, whereas the analytical rubric separates these traits. Although analytical rubric consumes time to score, they can be useful to departments assessing smdent s thinking skills in assignments and projects in mrrlti-section corrrses to determine which areas of student thinking need more attention in the comse (Peirce 2006).
