Aspidosperma album

Amsonia elliptica Roem. et Schult. Amsonia tabernaemontana Walt Aspidosperma album Vahl. (R. Benth. ex M. Pichon)... [Pg.16]

The tertiary base A °-(-)-isositsirikine (60b), corresponding to diploceline (60a), is one of twenty-five alkaloids isolated from the seeds of Aspidosperma album (Vahl) R. Ben. Two others are (+)-sitsirikine and 16-cpi-sitsirikine. [Pg.153]

In previous work the stem bark of Aspidosperma album (Vahl) R. Bent, was examined, and ten alkaloids were isolated attention has now been diverted to the seeds, from which no fewer than twenty-five alkaloids were obtained. Of these,... [Pg.177]

Aspidocarpine has also been found in other Aspidosperma species (Table I) while demethylaspidocarpine (L) has been isolated from A. album (42). [Pg.403]

In addition to olivacine and guatambuine (Section VII, C), an unnamed alkaloid, mp 186°-188°, resembling uleine in its color reactions, has been isolated from Aspidosperma australe (147)3. A glycosidic alkaloid, quebrachacidine, C26H28N2O11, has been found in A. quebracho-bianco (195), and its aglycone has been prepared. Several alkaloids have been reported in A. oblongum and A. album (196), notably kromantine, mp 176°, [a]D+ 159° (in chloroform), from the latter species (196a). [Pg.505]
